Quantity Surveyor

Skyline QS is an Alberta based company in Canada. In the last year we have expanded into Saskatchewan and continue to grow. In doing so, we are seeking another team member to bring their leadership and talent to our company.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of related industry experience with a University Degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying
- A strong working knowledge of the following programs; MS Office, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and Estimating Software
- Travel across Canada is a requirement, work-related tasks will be located in Western Canada
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
- Excellent interpersonal and great organization skills
- Attention to detail and great report writing
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Applicant will be required to provide a background check and driver’s abstract
- Ability to work well independently
- Strong ability to multi-task and capability to respond to changing deadlines
Responsibilities
- Review and verify total work quantities and conduct regular audits of contractor work
- Collect all progress from field construction and update progress reports
- Assist project administration in measurements for bills of quantities
- Create quantity take-offs from drawings to accomplish the reporting of field quantities in accordance with construction planning
- Assisting in preparing quantity comparisons for Progress and Performance Report
- Prepare weekly progress report for all disciplines noting productivity and compare against the site progress
- Always act professionally and as a role model in all work environments
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
- Ability to assist on a large loss, communicating and reporting to all disciplines
